SHAKING THE TABLES - PART TWO

Religion is simply a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny. Tracing all religions backwards, we found a common source - ancient babylon. Since man has lost his relationship with his creator, he was left with no choice than to try all he can to reach him through diverse means. Aside that, the fear of an impending evil became another impetus. Therefore man definitely needs and hence seeks protection from a supernatural being.

Every religious leader meant well though, but not in line with the counsel of God. Man requested for religion, they never thought their cordial relationship with God can be restored. Imagine the story of Israelites making a golden calf god despite the fact that just days back, they saw how the Egyptian gods were publicly disgraced, and that Moses had just been summoned by God on their behalf, "wanting to make them his people". They wanted power, they wanted to dominate the universe. They wanted the same key of God's Kingdom that was misplaced by the first man. Every religious person in this world still long for these things - protection, success, power, wealth and the rest. This endless list of man's pursuit has been solved in one mystery. That God came down to reconcile man back to himself. This though was a mystery, was made manifest thousands of years back, yet majority of those who wanted such could not see it.

The man, Christ Jesus was not a religious leader. He didn't start Christianity. He never had a congregation, neither did he have a place of worship. He was God walking on earth in human form and man did not recognize it. The plan was set before time began, before the foundations of the world he penned down this counsel. He came and became the bridge between heaven and earth. Heaven is no more far for those who believe him. Religion has failed and will continue to fail. Except you break yourself from the chains of religion, you will live a miserable life. The Kingdom of God has come to replace religion, open your understanding!
