BREAKING FROM THE SHACKLES OF RELIGION - 1

THE HAVOC RELIGION HAS CAUSED US

Religion has caused us a great havoc in this world. What we call religion today is one of the major problems of humanity. Until you know this, you will continue to adore it as one of the will of God for you whereas it is not. Not even close!

Religion is the worst thing that has ever happened to the world of mankind. We cannot shy away from the fact that it has caused hatred, ego, and discrimination and has robbed, deprived and enslaved man for ages.

Many people have lost their properties, lost hope, lost their loved ones and lost their lives from several attacks, crisis, battles and wars just because of religion.  

Talk of the holocaust that saw millions of Jews slaughtered, or talk of ISIS or the BOKO HARAM to mention a few, the world would have been a more better place to live in if there were no religious differences among its inhabitants.

Religion is defined in the English dictionary as a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that controls human destiny. It is also defined as an institution to express belief in a divine power.

We see how that many people have in one way or the other left the original purpose of God for them to chase after a mirage. The purpose of God was not a belief in some supernatural power somewhere.

God’s purpose for creating man was to have a family of sons and daughters who will know him and have 100% relationship with him. Not a kind of religious practice where, the people who are supposed to relate with him are busy relating with something else.

There are too many havoc caused by religion today. These problems have eaten deep into schools, market places, government offices, organizations, politics, and businesses among others.

There is a lot of hatred here and there; there is just a lot of discrimination!

When it comes to religion, friends have separate opinions. School mates have different approaches. There has been too much division among us, which is not supposed to be, since we are all God’s creature and he has the same plan and thought for us all before creating us.

God loves the whole world altogether, there is no distinction at all. We are all his creation. We are the ones who have separated ourselves into religious groups here and there. We are the ones who have deviated from his will, thinking that our religion is the approved religion whereas there is no approved religion anywhere. God has nothing to do with any religion.

One religious group claims they are the ones on the right path, another claims the same. We are deceiving ourselves. This conflict of opinion has resulted into a great disunity and has affected our whole essence of existence.

As a result, some nations have declared themselves sold to a particular religion to the extent that if you do not declare allegiance to such religion, you cannot survive in that environment. What a tragedy!

The greatest foolishness is that even among a particular religious group, there are differences. You see Christianity today? It is the most divided group among these religions. Some claim they are catholic, some protestants, some Pentecostals, some Baptists, some Methodists, some puritans, some white garments, like that till we have hatred, wars and discrimination among those who claim their religion is best.

You will even see Pentecostals having disputes against themselves, despite the fact that they are all Pentecostals and claim to have received the Holy Spirit. In Nigeria for example, a member of Deeper Life cannot relate well with a member of Dunamis. A member of Celestial Church of Christ cannot relate with a member of Christ Embassy. A member of Mountain of Fire finds faults in a member of Living Faith Chapel and many stupid and crazy things all sponsored by religion.

This goes on and on till we now have more than 4,200 religions in the world, of which none of them is God’s. I repeat NONE OF THEM IS GOD’S RELIGION!

God’s desire for you and I is not religion, it is a relationship. We all need to know this!

Religion is evil! It robbed us of our rights with God!

Religion is a demon; it has held many captive for a long time now!

Religion cannot save; there is no salvation in works!

Religion is outdated; it was employed when ignorance was thriving!

Until we see these truths about religion, we will not progress in life. We will always be in bondage, we will always be unsatisfied, and we will always desire more of God.

God is not far, religion captured it that way. God is not the sponsor of evil and diseases, religion captured it that way. God does not kill, he is not wicked, and religion captured it that way. God is not happy about your state of sin; neither is he waiting to punish you for your sins, religion painted God that way.

Religion is Satan’s strategy in painting God a different color to his people. Religion is sponsored by angels and demons, and they have deceived people in dreams and visions. Religion is not God’s will for us. NO, IT IS NOT!
